Residential Life and Education Assessment

For the past nine years, University Housing has participated in a national benchmarking assessment program. The ACUHO-I/EBI resident assessment provides comprehensive assessment data related to the overall living and learning experience of those who live within the University Housing program.

Residential Life and Education undergoes annual assessment of each of the specific learning community programs which are housed on campus. These programs include the Living Learning Program, the Connections Program, the Transitions Program, and the Sophomore Success Program.

In order to assist with immediate program development and program improvement, Residential Life and Education seeks student feedback throughout each academic year through the use of short-format surveys. Information gained from the short-format electronic survey is used immediately in making operational and programmatic decisions.

For more information regarding the Residential Life and Education assessment programs, please contact Carole Schaffer, Associate Director of Housing/Director of Residential Life and Education through email, cschaffe@calpoly.edu, or by calling (805) 756-5935.
